The Health Care Systems (HCS) Research Collaboratory is intended to improve the way clinical trials are conducted by developing systems and best practices for trials conducted at the site of care under real-world conditions. ![]() Health Disparities and Advance Health Equity Transformative High Resolution Cryo-Electron Microscopy (CryoEM).Stimulating Peripheral Activity to Relieve Conditions (SPARC).Somatic Mosaicism across Human Tissues (SMaHT).Powered by the All of Us Research Program Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity in Humans (MoTrPAC).Knockout Mouse Phenotyping Program (KOMP2).Illuminating the Druggable Genome (IDG).The Human BioMolecular Atlas Program (HuBMAP).NIH Director's Transformative Research Awards (TRA).NIH Director's New Innovator Award (NIA).NIH Director's Early Independence Award (EIA).HCS Research Collaboratory (NIH Collaboratory).Health Discovery and Innovation in Africa (DS-I Africa) Gabriella Miller Kids First (Kids First).Extracellular RNA Communication (ExRNA).Community Partnerships to Advance Science for Society (ComPASS)Įnhancing the Diversity of the NIH-Funded Workforce.Bridge to Artificial Intelligence (Bridge2AI).Acute to Chronic Pain Signatures (A2CPS).Information regarding whether the interventions improve health outcomes of patients will be broadly disseminated through a variety of mechanisms to help improve provider decision making and patient outcomes. The pragmatic clinical trial projects supported by the Collaboratory address questions of major public health impact. A Coordinating Center serves as the central resource for the guidelines and practices developed by the Collaboratory, which it distributes to the research community through a living textbook. These methods and practices are being honed within the context of pragmatic clinical trials, which measure the effectiveness of treatment options in real-world settings. This program is providing a framework of implementation methods and best practices to enable participation by many health care systems. ![]() The Collaboratory supports implementation of clinical trials called “pragmatic clinical trials,” which are conducted at the site of care with healthcare delivery organizations actively participating in the research. Results from traditional clinical trials performed in controlled settings on a tightly defined group of individuals have limited relevance in real-world health care settings. The Health Care Systems (HCS) Research Collaboratory program is working to strengthen the national capacity to implement cost-effective, large-scale research studies where health care delivery organizations are research partners.
